Dreams aren't remembered as a list, but as a network
The idea
I started writing my dreams in a notebook every morning and reading them through Freud and Jung. As the entries grew, I realised the interesting part wasn't the individual dreams but the connections between them: a symbol returning months later, different figures playing the same role in different dreams. A list or a calendar was hiding those links.
What's different
- Dreams, symbols and shared themes connect like neurons inside a 3D brain.
- The same dream can be seen through two lenses: switching to Freud or Jung recolours the network.
- A timeline replays how the network grew; mood colours bring morning notes onto the map.
- When a new dream is written, AI interprets it and adds it to the network with its own connections.
Design
The visual language comes from a brain scan: a night that fades from black into deep aubergine, warm purple neurons, a slowly sweeping scan layer and ambient sound. No alarms, no red warnings, no cold greys; the screen should feel close to sleep, not clinical.
The dreams and interpretations on this page are made up for demo purposes. The real journal is personal and not shared.
